Full time degrees
Full-time degrees
- University of Hertfordshire BSc (Hons)
This degree runs over three academic years. On completion of the course you will attain a BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science and will be eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a paramedic. - University of Greenwich BSc (Hons)
On completion of this three year degree you will attain a BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science and will be eligible to register with the HCPC as a paramedic. - Anglia Ruskin University BSc (Hons)
This full-time, three-year degree course will teach you the skills you need to work as a paramedic. You’ll get practical experience by using modern skills laboratories, mannequins and specialist equipment, and back it up with the theory you learn in the lecture theatre. On completion you will be eligible to register with the HCPC as a paramedic. This course starts in September. - Buckinghamshire New University BSc (Hons)
The BNU Paramedic Science degree is a 3-year full time programme delivered from our High Wycombe or Uxbridge Campus. Students at our Uxbridge campus start in February of each year and complete practice placement with London Ambulance Service. On completion of the 3-year BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science course, students will be eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a paramedic. - St George’s University of London BSc (Hons)

Full time masters degrees
University of West London, MSc Paramedic Science
This pre-registration, HCPC validated Masters-level degree is one of the first in the country and runs over two years with a January intake.
If you already have an undergraduate degree in a healthcare profession, or another undergraduate degree alongside considerable relevant experience in a healthcare setting then this exciting MSc Paramedic Science will give you the relevant knowledge, skills and clinical expertise to deliver safe and effective treatment to patients in the pre-hospital and out of hospital environment.
On completion of the course you will attain an MSc in Paramedic Science and be eligible to register with the HCPC as a paramedic.

Is funding available?
If you enroll on a full-time course, you will be responsible for paying for your academic fees during the course. Sadly there’s no funding available from us, but you may be eligible for support via your local education authority.
As a student Paramedic, you may be eligible to apply for the NHS Learning Support Fund, including a training grant of £5000. You may also qualify for additional financial support. You can view the eligibility criteria and find out how to apply for the fund at www.healthcareers.nhs.uk.

How do I apply?
You will need to apply directly to the university of your choice and have a good standard of education. This is generally five GCSEs at grade C or above (including maths, English and a science) or equivalent.
You will also need:
- 360 CATS points (equivalent to three A-levels) for entry onto the BSc Hons programme.
- An undergraduate degree in a healthcare profession or biological sciences with demonstrable experience of direct patient contact for entry onto the MSc programme.
If you are a mature student, equivalent qualifications and experience will be considered.
Driving requirements
To be offered a place on a course, you will need to have a full manual UK driving licence, however driving experience, number of points on a driving licence and the need for provisional C1 on your licence may vary depending on the course.
To be offered a role with us following completion of your degree, you will need a full manual UK driving license, a minimum of a year’s driving experience, no more than three points and a provision C1 on your license.
