Chief Executive pays tribute to Sheryl Blackwell
Sheryl Blackwell – Clinical Hub
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheryl Blackwell on the 6th September 2024.
Sheryl has had an impressive almost 30-year career in LAS starting her time at Barnehurst complex, working mainly at St Paul’s Cray. Sheryl officially joined the Clinical Hub in March of this year where she predominately worked at our remote site at 111 Croydon.
Sheryl was taken ill in May and sadly passed away peacefully in the Heart of Kent hospice with her family by her side on Friday. We pass on our condolences to all of her family, including her Mum Sylvia, sons Tom & James and husband Gray.
Sheryl was a loved member of the team and a great friend to so many people across the organisation and will be missed by staff particularly in the Greenwich and Bromley groups, where she worked for many years previously and in the Clinical Hub.
She will be remembered for her great big smile, her professional attitude towards her work and the care she provided to everyone around her. Sheryl was proud to be a paramedic and of the work she did across many areas of the LAS. She was loved and respected by many and will be a loss for both the trust and all who were lucky enough to have worked alongside her.
Details of the funeral will be released shortly.
