A message from the Chief Executive – 29 June
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Gayson who worked in our Make Ready Hub at St Helier Ambulance Station.
Paul, who was known for his kindness and inspiring approach to his role, worked for the Service for over two and a half years, working for Mitie on the Make Ready contract.
Paul’s dedication and efforts played a significant role in the transformation of the Make Ready scheme, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, where Paul supported Mitie’s response to help the Service treat more patients in the south west region with his high standards and commitment.
He will be remembered by the Mitie, Make Ready and local teams for the tremendous contribution he made, and will be greatly missed.
We share our sincere condolence with his family and young children at this difficult time.
Garrett Emmerson, Chief Executive, London Ambulance Service
